Dear Parent(s),
Welcome to a new year! Currently, the students are receiving instruction on weekly spelling/vocabulary words taken from multiple narrative short stories which are read and discussed with the theme of "reliance" and a full range of literary and comprehension skills. Students are also receiving instruction toward developing multiple grammar skills, including the ability to edit sentences for run-ons/fragments and to develop a variety of sentence types. Furthermore, students are beginning to draft an essay for the most memorable event in their lives.
It's extremely important that your child complete all of their assignments to the best of their ability. All assignments will be reflected on progress reports and quarterly report cards.
